The 2024 World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) Shenzhen •Bao’an Final will set sail in Qianhai Bay, Bao'an District, Shenzhen, from December 10 to 15. Sixteen sailing teams made up of worldwide top sailors will compete for the title of official 2024 Match Racing World Champion, sanctioned by World Sailing, the world governing body of the sport.

The World Match Racing Tour (WMRT) began in 2000, dedicated to promoting match racing on a global scale, making it the longest-running professional sailing series in history. Since 2006, the event has been granted "Special Event" status by World Sailing. WMRT are competitors are world-class skippers and sailors, including Olympic champions, World Championships winners, and America's Cup champions, the overall champion of the tour will be awarded the title of World Champion.

This is the second time that the WMRT Final will be held in Bao'an, Shenzhen, aiming to promote the high-quality development of the maritime industry in Bao'an, while accelerating Shenzhen`s strategic trajectory of becoming an internationally renowned sports city, a leading maritime capital of the World, and an international consumption center.

The event is jointly hosted by the World Match Racing Tour Organizing Committee (WMRT), the Chinese Yachting Association, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Shenzhen Bao`an District People's Government, and the Shenzhen Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Authority. The event is organized by the Shenzhen Bao'an District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and operated by China Resources Culture and Sports Development Co., Ltd.
