2024 World Match Racing Tour Shenzhen · Baoan Final is hosted by the World Match Racing Tour Organising Committee (WMRT), the Chinese Yachting Association, the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, the Shenzhen Bao'an District People's Government, and the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen Municipality. The event is organised by the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports of Bao’an District and operated by China Resources Culture and Sports Development Co., Ltd. 

The World Sailing Challenge Tour is one of the events sanctioned by World Sailing and was recognised as a "special event" by World Sailing in 2006. Unlike other sailing competitions, the World Sailing Challenge Tour is held close to the coast, allowing spectators the unique opportunity to watch the race up close. The event plays a significant role in promoting the development of regional sailing sports and fostering exchanges among world-class sailing athletes.
